In Russian. Short description: Pushkin A.S. Compositions. Edition (printing house) of the Imperial Academy of Sciences. Volume 1 (1899) Volume 2. Lyric poems. (1905) Volume 3. Lyric poems. (1912) Volume four. Lyric poems. (1916) Volume 11. The history of the Pugachev rebellion. (1914) Collected works of A. S. Pushkin has an interesting history. At the end of the 19th century, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the poet’s birth, it was decided to publish a complete, critical collection of the author’s works. In 1899, the first volume was published (under the editorship of L. N. Maykov). However, in 1900, L. N. Maikov died, and the whole Commission of the Academy of Sciences for the publication of Pushkin’s works continued to be engaged in editorial activities. For a long time the commission could not come to an agreement on the principle by which to compose a multi-volume edition. For this reason, the second volume was published only in 1905. The third and fourth volumes (1912, 1916) were also prepared with great difficulty. On the fourth volume (Poems and Dramaturgy 1825-1827), work on the sequential edition of A. S. Pushkin’s poetic works was interrupted. In 1914, the eleventh volume of the Academic Edition (History of the Pugachev rebellion) was published. Volumes V, VI, VII, VIII, X, XII were never published. Thus, these are all volumes published up to and including 1914. Please feel free to contact us for a detailed description of the copies available. SKUMS000495 kn_nat
