She was born in Lodz, settled in Germany before the First World War, and in 1933 moved to Paris. In 1942 she was deported to Auschwitz. She is usually ranked among the “Paris School”, although her style has a peculiarity that sets her apart from other artists in this circle. The presented book is a rare example of the artist’s graphic work, most of whose works perished, like herself, during the Holocaust.
